The EP features tracks that were not included in the band's 2022 double album "Once Twice Melody". In a press release, the band explained that they felt the songs didn't fit within the album's world, but later realised that they all shared a "scuzzy and spacious" vibe and created their own little universe.

Although the EP doesn't necessarily align with Beach House's current direction, the band hopes that listeners will appreciate the tunes.
