After a period of relative silence since their 2020 release 'Alien Crime Lord', The Voidz have made an explosive return with their latest single, 'Prophecy of the Dragon'. Breaking free from the shackles of convention, the band has embraced a new sound and style that showcases their fearless exploration of musical territories. With a captivating blend of genres and ever-changing dynamics, this single left me eagerly anticipating what's next.

'Prophecy of the Dragon' takes the listener on an exhilarating sonic journey, with The Voidz masterfully weaving together a tapestry of musical elements. The song seamlessly transitions from explosive hard rock segments to mesmerising rhythmic ballads. This unpredictable nature keeps the adrenaline flowing throughout the song, which in my opinion has one of the most insane guitar solos in any of Julian’s previous work.

To accompany the release of 'Prophecy of the Dragon', The Voidz have embarked on an unconventional video campaign known as 'The Voidz TV'. Hosted by Fernando Casablancas, also known as "The Fabulous Tarzan", these videos appear to serve as intriguing announcements for upcoming songs, including their latest single.

The exciting upcoming video content is a creation of Johann Rashid, Nick Ventura and Nasa Hadizadeh’s Weird CGI, and we cannot wait to see what else the studio has been working on.

One cannot help but admire The Voidz for their unwavering commitment to embracing the weird. Musically and stylistically, they have always pushed boundaries, providing an outlet for their unfiltered creativity. 'Prophecy of the Dragon' is a testament to their artistic audacity, as they fearlessly navigate through uncharted musical territories.

Now available on all streaming platforms, 'Prophecy of the Dragon' marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Voidz. As fans delve into this mesmerizing single, curiosity and anticipation build, as we eagerly await what the band has in store for us next.

In a statement shared by the band on Spotify, it appears this is just the beginning as they promise more announcements soon:

From experimental and heavy metal, to new wave and underground world music, all the way to old school hip-hop beats, indie rock, secret jazz, and classical leanings, the Voidz simply refer to their style (semi-jokingly) as “prison jazz.”

In 2023, The Voidz’ forward-in-all-directions mindset continues to run rich. Consider the new single, “Prophecy Of The Dragon,” which feels like a gathering of various rock characters from various timelines of different musical multi-verses.

Stay tuned as the band will be announcing more releases and live dates soon...
