Albert Hammond Jr, guitarist and songwriter of The Strokes, is releasing his fifth solo album, "Melodies On Hiatus," featuring collaborations with GoldLink, Matt Helders, and Steve Stevens. The album comprises 19 tracks, making it Hammond Jr's longest release to date, and comes with a series of visual aids connecting the tracks. The lead single, "100-99," is out now. In a recent interview, Hammond Jr spoke about the future of The Strokes, stating that the band may continue for another two decades.
Clairo shares new song 'For Now' and donates all proceeds to non-profit organizations For The Gworls and Everytown
Clairo has just released a demo of her latest song 'For Now', which focuses on the present and confesses her love "until it all breaks down". The piano-driven track is available to download on Bandcamp for just $1, with all proceeds going towards For The Gworls and Everytown, two non-profit organizations. For The Gworls helps Black trans folks with rent and affirmative surgeries, while Everytown is a movement that fights to end gun violence and create safer communities. Clairo recently finished touring for her 2021 album 'Sling', and will be performing at the Re:Set concert series alongside Boygenius, Dijon and Bartees Strange.
